"Sprout is a Nostalgiabeest- a creature born from humanity's intense melancholy and yearning for the ideal and romanticized past. It lives in a dimension of liminal space, specifically that of infinite dead malls, where it looks for lonely souls that stumble into its realm. He keeps them company as they wander and shows them comforting sights of their past or even dreams of pasts they wish had happened.
Its existence is fundamentally full of sorrow and longing, a sad fact Sprout seems well aware of. He does his best to comfort those he comes across, letting them stroke his soft fur while they reminisce about better times. It cannot communicate beyond squeaks and purrs, but it's always happy to listen to its new friends speak about their burdens. Unfortunately, lingering too long in his dimension is dangerous, and he must send the lost back home before they lose themselves in the past and their own memories forever. The dewdrops shimmering on his white fur are the coalesced form of the love and nostalgia of the people that visit him."
