spray paint and acrylic on canvas......my friend Jenn.....always thinks shes doing bad things.... i just think they are interesting things.

how do u do your stencils?
i started toward the end of high-school, and i did alright. I used an exacto and some like...clear stencil plastic stuff. i dont know if i could ever get it to this extent tho

all the stencils i've done started as photos..
i looked at them.. and drew the shadows outline.
i glued the paper drawing onto regular "primary school science fair" bristol board.
Then just cut them out with a olfa single blade craft knife.... almost the same as exacto but pencil shaped if you know what i mean..
then i just place those layers down and put weights....( empty spray cans.. shoes.. erasers... skrews.. anything i have) to hold it more flatter...
and spray.. then lift quickly before it dries.
i tried gluing the stencils down but i didnt like it.. to tricky and it can be messy and leave residue..
mostly now i use a chopstick or my hand to hold the stencil down firm in the area i'm spraying.. and move along and change position till its all done.
i'm still looking for the mystical clear plastic, the pros use.. i cant find anything suitable or cheap to use.. so i never have.

i may have to drop back into stencil making for a bit...idk if i can ever find the time tho! gah!

well I come from a very different place then the people that do such things.. and have different purposes behind what I do... than your average stenciler..hahaha
