These take a long time to render due to all the detail.
This one took well over an hour. Please stop by my gallery
when you have a chance for much more.

oh ok . if your lookin at 3D works people do they do renders sometimes up to 30 hours u know lol. yeah i seen ur gallery and its pretty nice . i tried myself usin fractal programs but found it yet hard to obtain something that isnt a uniform color.

Try Apophysis, it is free and it is actually hard to make a single colored image.

I think I see what is meant by opera things. First thing I thought when I saw it was it was an abstract based on a music score..a bit calligraphic with music notation as the language.
