OKAY YO, YOU ASKED ME SPECIFICALLY FOR A CRITIQUE ON YOUR COLORING, SO IM GONNA GO AHEAD AND TAKE THAT SERIOUSLY AND ENGAGE "MEAN FUCK" MODE.

To be completely honest, the first thing that strikes me about this piece is that, well, nothing is new about it. Aside from that one trippy lineart thing that's goin' around, I feel like there's nothing in this drawing that adds something unique and new to your gallery. Feel me?

I dunno, man, I just feel like there's nothing backing up this picture, you know? The coloring fits your usual pattern of warm pastels. The shading colors are chosen well, but the shadows themselves are wonky without giving any reason for it to be. Is he peeking through the blinds? Is a piano about to fall on him? There's no reason presented for his nose to be bleeding. Is he having a seizure? Did he get punched in the nose? Did he get stabbed by a microscopic assassin in his nostril???? It's only once you read the title of the piece that you realize he's supposed to be making a face.

I feel like the 3d effects just make this piece less clear and gives the audience a headache. I've never done the 3d thing myself, so I can't really instruct you how to use it effectively-- unfortunately all I can tell you is I'm pretty sure it would look better if you took it off of this one.

TLDR I FEEL LIKE AN ASS NOW IDK IF THIS IS WHAT YOU WERE ASKING FOR

But I honestly feel like this piece has a lot of potential. Like, If you made it black and white or greyscale with like a pure black background that mixed with the black lines, and added in some peeking through the blinds action and THEN did the 3d thing, it would make a really dramatic thing, you know??
Or if you really want to experiment with color, make the lines bright blue or only shade with tones of green or use a preselected color pallette or create a scene with only blue and black or make the lines lighter than the coloring.

Like, you have skill, my dude!! And from what I can tell, you learn really fast! Your shit looks good, alright??
Now all that's left for you is to experiment with EVERYTHING. With color and form and flow and expression and atmosphere and shapes and story and perspective and stylization and ART.
