Watched Batman Beyond again recently... still awesome... as good if not better than the Batman: The Animated Series!Did an older version of Terry here... battle-scarred from numerous battles with the countless villains of neo-Gotham... gave him a helmet for his cowl rather than the usual soft material (which, by the way, is also battle-scarred! )...
Standing atop a sundered Wayne manor... he looks over at his city... a silent protectorate of one...
Gotham will always have a Batman...

Redid an old piece i posted a while back of terry from batman beyond.
Wasn't happy with how i rendered it before to the point where every time i looked at my gallery it just became an eyesore.
Scrapped it for good measure.
CHANGES:
- redid the rendereing of his face (the old lighting on his face seemed to forced)
- shortened terry's nose! (it was practically jutting from the picture!)
- lessened the highlights on his armor
- took away the awful cathedral-ish background (sometimes i guess i try to do too much it ends up destroying the whole composition of the picture)
- made the background wider to give the viewer a better sense of the vastness of the city that terry overlooks
- simplified the backround (i wanted the image to focus on terry more)
- changed his hair to white
(this IS meant to be a much more grown up version of terry afterall... besides, it gives him a more clint eastwood type of grit that i liked)- added an extra gargoyle (yes, its the same as the one next to it) added it to make the balcony terry is standing on seem wider
All-in-all i feel much happier with this one!

Makes sense after Bruce's death that Terry would make quite a few mistakes and have scars to remember them by.

My biggest complaint with the show, is that Terry seemed to get his ass kicked far too much.

maybe its just me and my ever-changing tastes, but i actually felt beyond was pretty good too... or maybe it was because i just loved the small sense of continuity it had involving super old bruce wayne and all... specially that first episode where bruce realized he couldn't be batman anymore.
and yeah, i always felt that a helm was always more practical!

i love the way how ole brucie turned out. all old and bent, and grumpy. and what better dog than a great dane for batsy! that's a win.i love the baatman beyond movie btw. the joker thing. awesome.
