I actually found it rather upsetting seeing such a vibrant, energetic and strong character in a wheelchair with obvious depression, in a way the it kind of hit close to home.
Finale messed me up bro.

I understand people have problems with Korra seasons 1 and 2, but this, THIS moment, just cements that this series deserves to exist as much as the original Last Airbender series. I'm curious to know how they're going to progress this. Your artwork really cements the character progression. Great work.

I love how you are comparing her at different points in her life. I agree, it is truly heartbreaking to see her go from this incredible and independent young woman to this shattered shell.

This ending finale really was a heart breaker, I don't think I've cried like that for months, I was practically bawling at the end when they were doing Jinora's airbending master service. The significance of her service combined with Korra's obvious lack of strenght just got to me and I crumbled because I have never seen her in such a critical state, Just seeing her in that wheelchair did me in. L

But at the same time I do kind of want to see her road to recovery, I can't even imagine what Bryke has in store for the next book!

I know how you feel. My only query is that with 13 episodes, is Korra going to out of action for the most part? I don't want that, I feel it would do her a great injustice. (Personally, I feel that Aang had it a hell of a lot easier than Korra, and went through far less crap in a longer period of time than in three books of Korra. That's why I see her as such a good character and I just don't want to see her swept aside like some side-characterΒ that she's not.). If she goes through that road to recovery, as it were in the first two episodes, and then puts herself together again in say the third episode, I feel that would allow for a better character progression. Obviously, this is my own opinion. There are others who may see the whole wheelchair predicament as a way of developing, or even revising her role as the avatar. Regardless, I am so looking forward to book 4, whilst admittedly terrified at the same time. This has got to be my favourite show of all time now.Β
P.s, Sorry for the ramble/rant about Aang and everything else. My feels are still all over the place from the finale.
