it took me like… 3 weeks to even get this dude drawn 😭 reason #3857 why I don't draw much anymore but it did give me time to write a Shit Ton about him to make up for it!

Came up w this lil dummy a while ago, but I didn't know if I wanted to keep him as an actual character or not until recently! He's p much just Aries's endgame bf : )

-Personality-
🧊Volare is extremely clever, but you'd never guess it from his temperament. Sleazy, crass, and loudmouthed- if you have a low tolerance for disrespect, then he might not be the person to hang around.

🧊 Even if he isn't trying, he'll still let some hurtful words slip: his closest friends know he doesn't mean anything by it, but he has managed to start a fair share of fights with others over his comments.

🧊He always wants to be the biggest dog in the room, loudly boasting about all the heists he and his band have pulled off. It's not the best for their anonymity, but they've learned how to shut him up before he says too much.

-Basic Info-
🍯Volare's magic handling skills were far beyond average for his age, which brought him lots of initially loved attention as a "child prodigy", but he ended up taking a typical teenage rebellion act a step further by bailing from his parents at 13. He exploited his fast-developing magic to pull off many disguises and escapes, and steal any essentials (or luxuries) that he wanted.

🍯Before long, he ended up growing close to a group of runaways around his age. He'd never experimented with music, but when the youngest member, Armada, suggested they start a band as a front for their "gang", there was no pushback. This led to the formation of "BURST"- a rising pop-rock group that reignited Volare's need for attention.

🍯BURST toured through Aster for years, making tons of revenue through sales and steals alike. Though their greatest gig yet- Aster's Castle courtyard- almost proved to be their downfall. Volare was tasked with stealing a few gems from the castle vault during the intermission, and his employee disguise brought him *so* close to pulling it off; unfortunately, a newly hired wolf captain was able to track his scent back to the stage.

🍯This led to a very long and VERY ticklish interrogation. Volare was quick enough to stash the jewels away in his own "magic storage", and he was too stubborn (and later too exhausted) to crack under Aries's fingers. He ended up breaking after about two hours, but his interrogator simply let him go after retrieving the gems. It confused Volare, but he quickly took it as an invitation to come back.

🍯At first, Aries was just using him as a way to find weaknesses in the castle's security- Volare always seemed to find ways to get to Aries and bug/flirt with him without tripping a single alarm- but as time went on, he started to find the "annoying" visits from the rockstar endearing.

🍯BURST still tours Aster, pulling off heists a little less than they used to due to their slowly growing love for their music. That, and they don't wanna risk anyone getting caught again. It's a lot easier for them to slip up now that their star member's mind is more focused on his new object of affection…

-Misc.-
🥭Volare doesn't have a fixed position in BURST. All of the members figured out how to rotate instruments freely, but he does prefer the drums overall.

🥭He has a silly fascination with Earth and human culture in general. He's pointed out Aries's more human-like features (rounded ears, no fangs) before, but he doesn't do it anymore since it upset him.

🥭After his failed attempt at stealing from the castle, he's tried numerous spells and tricks to try to mask his scent, but none of them work. He did find one quick way to block Zero's scent- a kick to the nose. That didn't end very well for Volare :')

🥭His band members love to tease him about dating a "rich boy". He then has to remind them that they're all rich too, but that doesn't stop the playful jokes.

🥭Despite his huge interest in music, Aries nearly has to gag Volare any time he tries to sing near him. Not because he sounds bad, but because his uncharacteristically pretty voice flusters him a bit too much.
