Sunsetting over downtown LA.
This was taken on the roof of a hotel downtown. I can't remeber it's name, but on the roof was a beautiful pool, and a resturant. It was a beautiful location with good view of the sky scrapers. I waited there for two hours to capture the sunsetting, and it was really worth it.
* Well, from the comments I can see that the hotel has been named. It's the Standard hotel in downtown LA, a prime spot for nightlife - [link]

A truly magnificent shot!
The curves of the lounge chairs and the inner tube break the constant lines of the buildings and shape of the pool. The colors are so rich and vibrant too.

I don't really know how to say all that I like about this, other people seem to have said everything I would say, like that the angle is excellent, and so is the contrast.

That is one incredibly beautiful photo. I thought it was dubai since I've seen so many photos of dubai apartments with pools on top.

I have a technical question. Why not correct the vertical lines and the horizon. Seems a little tilted, it doesn't look bad at all, and I'm still learning photography, so I would appreciate your input. Thank you.

You're right...
It is tilted. I tried fixing it, and it simply looked better the way it us, with all the details compressed this way. Fixing it presses some elements out of the frame and that bothers me. Anyway, I love it like that, and that's the proof that composition has rules for a reason, but there is always room to break them
