Like a beauty mask stretching on its skin
The world sheds another dark night away
Another morning heavily opens its eyes
Slow motion of what quickly be just another day

Sunrise at Agmon Hahula lake, up north of Israel.
I actually woke up at 2:00AM that morning, joined ~ofirk and other friends, and drove for about 3 hours to travel there.
The Hula Reservoir is a relic of the Hula Lake and surrounding swamp area, spanning on about 25000 acres.
In 1951 the National Jewish Fund decided to drain the lake and swamps in order to combat malaria and create more areas for agricultural activity. The drainage process was finally completed in 1958, leaving only 800 acres of wet land.
In 1993 JNF returned to the Hula Valley at the head of a large-scale, environmental rehabilitation program, making the swamp a reservoir, and a haven to migrating birds and other swamp creatures. Autumn, the main migration period, sees the mass arrival of pelicans, herons, storks, cranes, birds of prey etc. Some 25,000 cranes alone arrive in the autumn and some 10,000 spend the winter there. Nowadays, an additional area is being swamp in order to facilitate more birds and animals.
This is a wonderful place for finding all kinds of birds and water animals.
I'm not a "Nature" photographer, but I always get exited from the possiblity of finding nature's best with something more than a bird shot, and breath some natural surroundings.
The shot was taken with a polorizer on a Nikon 28-70 lens.

Hey, this is a pretty nice pic! In fact, come to think of it, you can probably sell it on a microstock photography website like the ones I listed below, under the nature search listing. I have been working on selling my own photos, and have several that were just listed the other day. It is a pretty cool system: companies can cut costs for photos by buying them from microstock sites rather than paying their own photographers, and you get paid every time an individual or company buys your photo(s). The signup for these kinds of accounts is free, and you get a cut of the pay. (the only reason it is free to register with them is because they take a portion of every sale.) Also, when a company buys your photo, they don't get the copyright, so they have to buy it a whole bunch of times, once for every time they use it! The photos never leave the microstock site, and will earn you passive income every time they sell for years to come.

you must always be in the right place at the right time, eh! i love the effect, looking across the water up into the hills, even if it wasn't a sunrise, if it was a normal blue, or grey sky it would look fabulous, but the fact that it is a sunrise, just makes it even better, the icing on the cake, as it were, and it was a beautiful cake as it was!!!

I love this picture! Your photography is amazing, and I really love this one. It almost has like this positive/negative, good/bad, effect to it. The top is lighter which seems more postitive to me; then the bottom is darker which seems more negative. Also, the reflection from the light in the clouds on the water almost looks like fire. I don't know if that's just me but when I first saw it the word 'fire' just popped into my head immediately.

The difference between the reflection and the "reality" is stunning. Especially the change in colours, how the mood completely changes from a beautiful view to something almost repulsive.
