i have noticed the depth of field in many of your shots- the clouds and earth seem to point at whatever you are photographing- how do you do that?

Great shot, I love the contrast in the clouds, interesting perspective too.
The darkening of the corners (i'm sure there's a technical term for it) really help set the mood of the picture too.

I spot the subject of the photo,
Sometimes it's background.
In ifra red I never spot, cause it's all about trying, and correcting. There is no way of seeing in advance how it would turn out.

Have you read the story "The Boat"? I haven't myself, but a group in my english class did a seminar-type presentation on it. This picture, and the words that go with it, remind me very much of it.
I love the dramaticness of it all! The moody clouds, reluctant sea, sad old boat. Amazing!

Gilad,
I dont know if you take these photos of yours when you go these places by yourself, or with others.... I would bet on walking these places by yourself when u take these shots... i bet you having a great time doing this!
I enjoy looking at your works because you show a prettier side of Israel than the side people see in the media worldwide.
Thanks for that.

at the beginning i thought just that this shot is awesome.
but then i had to get to know how this cloud-effect was done.
thought these clouds were moving really fast but then i saw
that you only used a 1/250 shutter speed..
so please tell me how youve done it.
thanks so far

The wide angle gives a sense of distortion that may have caused that feeling for you.
