The Gilded Age was America's baroque period. Mid century modern is quite minimalist. Perhaps you are looking for less clutter in your life now.

but i am constantly changing my style and now i'm now into the "gilded age" romantic/baroque style that i was going with in this picture...now my bedroom is completely different haha
now i'm into midcentury modern furniture
but it makes me happy that SO MANY people love this picture of my room

i just recommend going thrifting a lot! thats what i did...the bed spread was $50 from walmart, the table clock was $3 and the mirror was $7; both from thrift stores

haha no...it was just a high-gloss red paint painted over old floral wallpaper...it reflects in the picture as metallic...that wud kinda be cool though

hhhmmmmmmm....i salvaged this from a 1950's home my aunt bought....but your best bed would be antinque and thrift store shopping...thats where i always find my best goodies hehe you should be able to find a great vintage chandelier at an antique shop for under $100 but it all depends on the pricey-ness of the store...GOOD LUCK...tell me if you find a good one
