I love this one, like, a lot. But isn't it a tad inaccurate? wasn't Eponine wearing boy's clothing?

Wonderful. Is this meant to be from the book or the musical? Cos' I'm sure in the musical, she wears her coat at the barricade? anyway,I love the drawing... it's so sad when she dies ;(

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

gilra In reply to ZexionsLover [2008-03-14 20:44:00 +0000 UTC]

yes, she wears her coat in book and musical.

in german "die agonie des todes nach der agonie des lebens" same.
hm thanx

Say, I like this because it's an unusual; You don't often see drawings of Eponine's mortal wound actually being inflicted. But after all, in the English translation that chapter is titled "The agony of death after the agony of life."

In English she placed her hand over the gun barrel; the bullet passed thru her hand, into her chest, and out her back. That aside, this is very heart-wrenching and evocative. Good job.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 0

gilra [2008-01-08 20:01:51 +0000 UTC]

oh. first throu the hand.
and then... *read*
in my (german) translation it is "in den kΓΆrper durchbohrt und [ist] am rΓΌcken wieder rausgegangen"

so. first hand, then body, then back.

it could be that it's different in english?

Wonderful - Thought the bullet passed through her shoulder is my only other comment.
