Thank you for the awesome tutorial!

If it's alright, I'd like to ask you a question. Do you outline your sketch with a pen (or ink it somehow) before making a copy or just use a pencil sketch?

Thanks for the tutorial! I was curious how you managed to get all those fine points of hair in your artwork

Speaking of which...for the Micron pigment pens, quick question: Do they come in colors, or only black, blue, red & green? I'm attempting to look them up so I can give them a try for finger strands of hair.

You probably get the question a lot, but thanks for reading anyway!

I know this is a little late (by a few years) but thanks for making this tutorial ^^ I just started trying Copics seriously and I really like them (more than Photoshop which is crazy on my part) and I know that this will help me improve (when I get rich and can afford more markers lol)

thanks again

i love how you have coloured the hair!!
i've been using copic for a very little time and something didn't out vvery well.
can i ask you for some advices?
first of all, i can't do very well the shadowing even if i use the blender before.
is the only solution to use differents colour?
is there something which you can use as a eraser or a corrector if u have made some mistake while colouring with copic?
what is the best way of using red and blue colour? i find very difficult shading the red.
thanks

There aren't enough tutorials like this around. *sigh* But this is spectacular! XD I love the end result and I like how you included the colors you used. I'd love to try my hand at Copics someday, but so far I've only got the 12 set of prismacolor.... *which are all lost or dried out thanks to my nephew...*

Anywho... I totally love this. XD

ZOMG like. zomg.. thanks.. you did a wonderful job on your tutu. XD. and SUPER GRATS on you and your friend's collaborated art book.

i know they are expensive, but for who have lost hope, try to save up a bit, and in time you'll get em slowly XD.

i still have one question however, do you ever use the position end of the sketch marker or just the super nib.

o and that.. any tip on inking that will help me out? i own the copic mutiliner B set and .35 copic Sp liner.

thank a bunch. XD

DAYMN!!!!!

THAT....SOO....KICKS....ASS!!! That is just absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!! Sorry if I'm all dramatic, beautiful artwork does my heart and soul good . I just gotta ask, I BARELY had the cash for Prismacolor markers, will they work just as well, or do Copic markers do the best job?

Also, what kinda paper did you use? I got a How To Draw Manga book on Copic markers and it says the paper makes a difference too.

Thanks for adding SOO much detail in your tutorial, that really helps me out. Oh, and just one last question....

Just how much do them Copic markers, in the highest quantity, cost?! I hope they don't LITERALLY cost an arm n' a leg, man....

Giname In reply to LC85 [2007-02-09 23:33:21 +0000 UTC]

I'm so glad that my tutorial was helpful to you!!!!
Copics are wonderful though they are really expensive but prismacolors, though they are good markers, are limiting.
If you note me I can send you a link that sells copic markers for a cheaper price

You my friend are amazing! I got copic ciao markers for Xmas, but the only proplem is that I don't know how to use them. You're instructions make more sense than most books.

Thankyou for this tutorial... its amazing to find out how over people colour their work...

You use exactly the same stuff I use, well, the microns and the markers... (i lust use an opaque white marker or white gel pen for highlights!) I was wondering though... do you use the colorless blender when coloring your work or not?

LoyalCanine [2007-01-21 17:13:42 +0000 UTC]

Hey, that's an awesome tutorial...One question though. Normal markers when you colour with them, when you go over a place you've already coloured, it gets darker. Does this happen with copic markers?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

o0dAdA0o In reply to LoyalCanine [2009-06-04 08:10:56 +0000 UTC]

I don't have copic markers but I'm pretty sure that the colours don't get darker when you go over 2 times...

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

yeahgirl11 In reply to o0dAdA0o [2009-08-08 07:07:55 +0000 UTC]

Actually, the colors do get darker when you color over the previous layer. That's how people without many copics get deep colors such as shadows.
