Before you say to me "Originality is dead" "No such thing as original style" Let me say this: Get off of Deviant Art then. Deviant Art encourages you to be one of a kind. If your not interested in at least trying to be different in your own way, the you should be here. Fuck off. You should give it a shot and try to do something different. you might like what you make.Save the styles for drawing Sonic fan art and fan fiction, if your characters arent related to Sonic, then theres no need to use it.
Same can be said about TLK lions, I searched for "Lion OC" yesterday and 97% were TLK looking lions and half of them werent even related to Lion King.
I would of made this into a stamp but someone else already did, and plus the Sonic thing irritates me more.

I don't even draw in a deliberately Sonic style except for maybe irises and pupils with their ovular shape, or in Sonic-specific art, but now I kinda want to start doing that because I refuse to do what I'm told.

people draw in sonic style, because its easier to draw, also many aritists draw as an hobby and most of them isnt really good at drawing humans &other stuff, so they see sonic style as a beginning, if sonic style didnt existed, deviantart would have less users, less hobbyiests, less fame

I 100% agree with this.
People who copy another's style are too chicken and lazy to actually WORK to make their own style. They can't come up with (or are too lazy to come up with) with their own style so they steal someone else's. It's absolutely ridiculous. This goes for Sonic, MLP, and Lion King especially.
That's my opinion. I don't give a crap whether sonic fangirls/fanboys come after me. Those who do are too immature to handle my opinion.

I was 14 when I wrote this (2014) and was going through my edgy phase. Sorry about that. While the Sonic style is not original whatsoever, it's still art.

Ugh. The style is unimportant compared to the quality and meaning of the work. You don't steal style because everyone already has their own. It might be similar to someone else's and it might be based off of another but unless they're tracing the other artwork the style is not the exact same.
I myself draw semi-realistically with a few implementations of anime or I do just anime by itself. This isn't bad. Trying out other styles and experimenting with them is a good to find or come up with one that works for you.

TLK uses a cartoon appearance for their lions. It's often easier to learn cartoon and it's probably very hard to draw something like a cartoon lion that won't look a bit TLK without making it look like a cuddly kitten or something.

Look, I know you are a good person at heart but you have to exept that ppl have their differences and even if it has to do with TLK or sonic maybe you should agree that ppl just do it, and you can't change that no matter how much u try. As I always say "anger or impositive thinking is like grasping on to hot coal, willing to throw it at someone. But you are the one who gets burned." And this goes for you. Even if they use certain styles they still have a unique part about them which makes them special...
