Description Next part of my flag nail art!

Here's the German countries.
Thumb - Prussia.
Index - Germany
Middle - Austria
Ring - Switzerland
Pinky - Liechtenstein

Yeah yeah, I know Prussia is not technically a country (anymore)... But I'll admit, the flag is/was pretty *ahem* awesome, so I couldn't pass it up.

I think it turned out alright, considering I painted it a few days ago and have already had to do several touch ups (I couldn't find the camera right away). I do like that yellow better, though it was a bit of a beeyotch to paint on... Much more see-through, so needed more coats...

Hopefully the cracks aren't too noticeable, and at least it's cleaner!

actually, prussia is now a micronation as of august 12, 2011. It's called the New Prussian Empire. And they kept the old flag.

I started, using a toothpick, with three lines forming a Y shape, with the prongs of the Y becoming the wings, and the base being the body. I used a curved sort of backward S shape for the neck and head. The feathers curved downward, progressively getting longer, the closer to the body.

The feet I made half black, half gold. Since the right one is holding a scepter, I continued with the gold upwards, and added a red cross at the tip. The left foot is holding a blue ball.

The beak and tongue I did in needlepoint, as well as the red crown the eagle is wearing. The gold on the black body is supposed to be the letter "R" and it also continues at the base of the wings.
