i really love these costumes! i wish i could make one like that, but i can't sew...at all. great picture. the props look really good, too. do you use base patterns for the costumes or just invent them up?

there are patterns I buy at fabric stores. I match them to the design and then if things need to be changed from there then I work with my grandmother who is fabulous at sewing and coach her through it and let her know what needs to be done. n_n
For my organization costume, I used a Neo pattern from the matrix. n_n
I then coached my grandmother on what needs to be changed and detailed. I helped her with cutting out the pattern and constructing her on the next advances to make this coat look identicle to the game. n_n it was a ton of fun to work on with my grandmother.
link was a lot easier. I basicly used the same pattern and just made it shorter. I changed some things around to fit the style more to link and then worked on it from there. n_n

yup, that was me n_n it was so much fun. Only problem was i had spraned my ankle earlier that morning so doing cosplay chess kinda made it worse but i held in the pain and had some fun. n_n so it was worth every minute.
