When I first saw this I thought they were bloody. I was all NOOO!!!! But then I clicked on it and saw the happy (read: mischievous) faces and realized it was just paint--der havin FUN. (Course, the title does help...) I don't think Dahlia will be very happy when that splatter coming off of Ferin's brush reaches her face, though.
I LOVE SKETCHY, TOO!! (my excuse for the lack of finished work in my gal.) But seriously, this picture just smacks my point further home in the fact that YOU HAVE TO ANIMATE. You have to.... Just... TRY IT. the worst that can happen is it wont work. And then you can get mad and blame me. There are plenty of free gif programs on download dot com, and the stuff is safe there, else I wouldn't said that...
The one thing you need to know about animation is that it runs at 24 frames per second. So if your working on ones (One frame every 24th of a second) you will have 24 drawings for every second. If your working on twos, you will have the same picture repeated every 24th of a second. In other words, you will only have 12 drawings a second instead of 24 because your repeating each drawing or frame once. For starters, try a character you know how to draw well at all angles spinning. This should be easy for you because you know fabric movemnt so well. Try it on ones first and if it goes by too fast, go back and repeat each frame so its now playing on two's. I should tell you right now that all my animations on youtube (except the two new ones--the clay one and the coin one) were all done incorrectly. They're going on random speeds. So lets get you started out right by telling you how fast the frame rate has to be!
I gave all that info for free... lol. If you have any questions, you know who to ask. I have a book I'd like to scan a few pictures from and show you if you're interested.
Now it looks like I just wrote a book, so I'll stop now. D=

Even though I love Ferin's little enthusiastic jump, Dahlia's expression is my favorite! And I love how much excitment and movement is in the picture, it feels like you are actually a part of their game!
