Is this from 1,000 nights? This is beautiful!!!! I've never seen someone draw Arabic people so accurately while maintaining their own style. I adore accuracy. <33

I love this!!! And yes, I agree--why add a background when you're not paid for one?

Beautiful~ and lots of energy!
Y'know, I'd always thought of Scheherazade as just sorta whippin' the stories out there, but they both look really interested in it. I guess the girl had to really love the stories she was telling to make them involving.... I hadn't thought of that....
Anyways, the costumes are beautiful and the figures great and expressive and guhhh, it's lovely.

He seems so enthralled in her story, and it looks like a pretty exciting part. I love when a single picture with no movement or caption can get across so many ideas! The colors look really great as well, the coloring and the color choice, it adds even more energy to both of them. And I love how he has his elbow on her knee.

I love the colour scheme in this, and the exaggerated dynamics make it look like a still from an animated film! The costumes and draping are luscious, as well.

Ever seen any Leon Bakst illustrations and conceptual drawings? This reminds me a lot of them.
Love your style. Also a fan of Scheherazade and her various incarnations!
