We are giants and we don't know the power we have over the tiniest beings. Destroying everything in our path, it seems that even the most insignificant life is at our mercy. In a world where beauty seems to be the first factor of compassion, a butterfly is a priority while a cockroach is a loser. The fragility of life judged by banal factors, as a living being is unable to communicate their suffering at the hands of a human without reason.

Guada, I love this photograph and your artist's comments! Thank you, my friend, for sharing them with us. René Descartes was a fool in asserting only humans had souls, yet Abrahamic religions happily embrace his immoral and unethical theories regarding non-human life. Should anyone tell you what a great man Descartes was, spit in their eye!The assumption that animals are without rights and the illusion that our treatment of them has no moral significance is a positively outrageous example of Western crudity and barbarity. Universal compassion is the only guarantee of morality."—Arthur Schopenhauer I care not for a man's religion whose dog and cat are not the better for it."—Abraham Lincoln I don't believe in the concept of hell, but if I did I would think of it as filled with people who were cruel to animals."—Gary Larson
