Looking at pictures like this you'd think that Vegeta would be grateful for the fact he managed to get together with a woman like this. I know I would be.
But nooooooo, he practically ignores her through most of their scenes together.
The only proof that they're even together at all is the fact that they had a kid together.

Admittedly; I'm one of those awful people that fav and run like the wind. But very occasionally one of those incredible art pieces come along and force me to come out of my laziness burrow and say something. This is one of such pieces. You did an amazing job with it, paying attention to detail like the clouds for instance, and the concept of Bulma building not a castle but sand dragonballs is just genius. I absolutely love it.

You know, I started with a quest for beautiful βofficialβ DBZ pictures too. I got fond of some Dragonball anime characters in particular, because I found they had a smart narrative development during the sagas; then I started looking for some images of them on the web, and ended up choosing fellows like Vegeta as reference subjects for my digital drawings.
Iβve always been attracted by the cel-shaded style, as itβs synthetic and very expressive. Furthermore, I like intense and lively colors and precise lines, and Dragonball characters can be represented as I like to do without modifying their original aspect too much. I prefer not to change them excessively, especially their personalities, because I perceive them as expressions of the authorβs will, and I like to respect it as long as itβs possible.
My pictures are certainly a way for me to practise, as you said, on a matter that makes me enjoy the huge amount of hours spent between a screen and a tablet (yes, it IS exhausting!).
I also find fanart pretty stimulating, letting you get trained with already depicted characters and, most of all, making you share some impressions with other fans. Which is something beautiful and very enriching.
In the end, Iβm truly bound to the characters I depict, and itβs very interesting to put something personal in them and see how other fans react. Itβs a sort of charming play to me.
I thank you very much for sharing your motivation and your inspiring goals with me, and I must say I donβt find them silly at all! Maybe simple, yes, but not silly. You didnβt find the kind of images youβd like to see, and so started making them on your own (βbe the change you want to see in the worldββ¦ wasnβt it Gandhi? ). And the results are here to be seen, arenβt they?
I like your style because it respects the original one, but itβs much more detailed, and you pay attention to details like light effects, shading and atmosphere. And the intense colors really meet my taste.
I read the note you sent me, and I can't help being overjoyed by it! I'll answer properly tomorrow - my replies are quite slow when I think they're worth a deeper reflection.
For the moment, I want to thank you again very much for your kind words and for all your support, I really hoped to find someone so caring and generous being interested for my works (I agree: I never call them βmy artβ! itβs something immodest and disagreeable if done by the very author).
I'm happy to see we share similar opinions on our approach to drawing, and I can't wait to be in touch again to comment each other's pictures.
One of the main reasons for which I joined this community was precisely to have reciprocal exchange of views with people like you. Thanks again, really.

Bulma is a genius. If anyone could figure out how to make a sandcastle like that work, it'd be her!!
