History: Tadeo started as an apprentice for a witch at the young age of four. Needless to say she wasn’t a very good apprentice. Not because she lacked paying attention or following orders. But because she lacked skills. An ability to actually be able to control magic. The witch merely told her, so she wouldn’t be discouraged, that for some it took time. Some flowers bloom early, others on time, and some late. Tadeo remarked than some flowers also never bloom at all. The witch gave no comment to that.

A few years later, after her eighth birthday, the witch and Tadeo took a trip to Ingary. Market Chipping, to be more precise. Tadeo was told to go out and explore the town while she went on with business. No questions asked as she obeyed. It was crowded and people seemed either incredibly happy or…fanciful looking, really. Perhaps it was because she had lived in the forest area of Ingary with the witch for so long that she didn’t notice the difference in clothes until standing next to someone. It was an oddly noticeable difference. At least she thought so.

Upon exploring the town, she came to a mask shop. Something about it seemed to just lure her in. So, with little hesitation, she wandered inside. There were various masks of different shapes, sizes, textures, designs, and so on. There was one mask, above the others, that caught her attention. She didn’t know why, but it just did. Hypnotized by the mask, she didn’t notice the witch come behind her. It was time to be off back home. Taking one last glance at the mask, she left.

A few months later did her magic abilities finally bloom. Of course, it took a life death experience to do so. Something she didn’t quite appreciate. Nonetheless, she was happy with what came from it in the end. All the training she had done beforehand came in handy, making it easier for her to control her abilities. It stilled seemed as though she had a long way to go, however.

Eventually the witch let her go out on errands. Delivering items or goods to other witches, wizards, sorcerers, etc. Some to just old friends. She didn’t mind, It let her see more of the world. But their world alone brought about wondrous thought of other worlds, if there were any others. She wanted more than what she was already experiencing. Not that she didn’t enjoy the current life she had. She wanted to believe that there was more to herself, though. More than just being any other magic user.

At the age of thirteen Tadeo’s master, the witch, died. She found out from one of the witch’s friends of this. They weren’t sure as to how she died, just that she did. The only family she had come to know was now gone. It wasn’t something she was ready for, but something she had to get through one way or another. She had learned that from her master. In the witch’s will, Tadeo inherited everything. She was also left a letter, in which she was not to open until her eighteenth birthday, and the mask she had looked at all those years ago in the shop.

The house, which once brought her happiness, no longer did so. Now it merely brought about sadness and a reminder that she was now alone. For days on end she cried and cried, keeping to herself in her room. Eventually she believed that it was time to move forward. Memories of her master stayed with her, letting her believe that she was there. But when she looked, reality struck back to show her she wasn’t. Struggling to get past her death, she went back to training and studying. In truth, she wanted to know what happened to her master. But she would find answers to that mystery once she was confident enough with her abilities. A couple months later she bought yoyos so as to occupy her boredom when she wasn’t studying or training, or when she was on a trip somewhere. Later on did she come to use them as weapons and also for magic.

Finally, upon her eighteenth birthday, she was allowed to open the letter. She wasn’t going to open it at all, but considering it was one of her master’s wishes, she heeded it. Within the letter read “Market Chipping is where your truth begins.” She didn’t understand. All she got from it was to head there. Thus, packing a few things and finally putting on the mask, she headed there.

Something about the area seemed so different to her. Not thinking at all, she let her feelings lead her, soon finding herself in an alleyway with no one around. Down it was a strange door that seemed off from all the others she had seen before. She tried to open the door only to find it locked. Even so, she wanted to go in one way or another. Was this what the letter had meant? Was she meant to find it? So many questions raced through her mind. Perhaps, even, they new the answers to the death of her master. Not hesitating, she took out a piece of paper and quill, writing down her contact information. With that she let the paper slip through the door.

For several minutes she stood there, staring at the door with confident eyes before turning to leave. Whatever truth the letter her master had left meant, that was indeed where it began.

After spending time in Nu Hybrid, she realized that even though it was pleasant there, and close to home, so to say, it wasn’t where she was meant to be. She couldn’t find the answers she wanted there. Thus, with little feelings of remorse, she left, leaving behind a letter to what friend friends she had made. Along with telling the Superior there she was leaving for good, of course. With that, it was back to her empty home.

Days later did she feel so fallen apart and alone that she honestly had no idea what to do with herself. No clue where to start. That’s when she stepped out of her door one day and found herself somewhere different. There… Even if it wasn’t quite like anything she thought she’d come upon, it somehow let those empty feelings of being lost fade away. Even if for a moment.

So I did this drawing some time ago for this club. Never put it up because wanted to wait until it was back up and running. Redid the info as changed my mind on what world she would be from and also because things drastically changed in the club. Least to me they drastically changed. I actually like this quite a bit, still. Despite all the mistakes. May change her age, since I think she's meant to be twenty for the club. But I'm not quite sure.
