We stood alond on the street corner,Watching the soldiers passing.
Their proud heads held high,
Their blank faces staring at us,
through us;
Statues marching by.
Can't they see the fear?
On that child's face
as his mother is struck down,
Into his very eyes
They stare, but see nothing.
They can't hear the screams
that they leave behind,
