Since I have a guest from Super Paper Mario, one from Thousand Year Door is a must, don't you think?

Here's the Treasure Crazy Cortez, and, in the 5th Chapter: "The Greastest Treasure from the South Seas" he's after a great treasure which is custodied by a Scar Faces Koopa, in the same place where he hide his treasure! The Problem, he has abandoned by his crew, so, Mario and friends have to back up him until the rest of the trip.

This episode is quite weird, because it's the first time they have to help the bad guy instead the good one, but everything got reversed and re-inverted and blah blah blah. Whathever the case, the point here Cortez must finish with Stalwart Koopa and keep his treasure with him until the end of his days. Not quite a great ending, but Cortez finish follow Mario anyway.

I know Cortez most probably wasn't a Koopa, but I always believe he was a Koopa. He's quite friendly and charismatic, but he's a Gold-holic, and all his life is gather the most Gold he can find anywhere, something quite annoying.

He's the alter ego of Kooper and Koops. His Field ability is Activate Stuff with his Shell and their Battle Ability are like Koops, except he replace the Shield Shell for Throw a Rapier or another Pirate-like weapon to a flying enemy.
