Considering greymon is not as humanoid as wargreymon, it's understandable if his helmet is skin. Most of armor that looks detachable mostly belongs to humanoid digimon while the non-humanoid not much. But maybe all armor level digimon have detachable armor even if they are non humanoid

There are some champion level Digimon with detachable parts like all those champions that ware beltes or pants.
Greymon being a dinosaur would make sense of the part on his head is actually organic and grown from his head as there are several dinosaurs that have a similar hard head.
Well armor is supposed to be removable although if you forced it off an armored Digimon it would probably just revert to its previous form instead of being armorless

Yes but Fanart can involve absolutely anything XD like for example...... Fusing a Yugioh Monster with a Digimon anything is possible if one wants to draw it
(I used Yugioh for part of the example because it comes on TV multiple times a day here so I have watched it so much these last weeks)
