Description So people have been asking for tutorials so here is one!

It's pixel but I use the same technique for regular hair shading as well.
Uhm basically it's pretty simple.
I personally don't use dithering when I pixel because I prefer keeping it simple and "clean" looking but that's my personal taste regarding to my pixel style.

If you have any questions about how I pixel shade please ask!
I BARELY EXPLAINED WHAT I DID SO DON'T BE AFRAID TO ASK FOR MORE DETAILS
This is just how I personally shade hair but mixing and trying other techniques is the key.

Paint Tool Sai, but it works with most programs

Ahhh I've needed a tutorial on this desperately QAQ I'm not a big fan of dithering or pixels that use more than the binary tool so this makes my life so much easier

I personally use dithering only on round shapes, it gives a better blending effect?
But on hair in my opinion it looks weird

I use Paint Tool Sai for pixeling and Gimp for animating, but any drawing program will do, even Microsoft Paint!

I make a preliminary sketch using a normal brush, then I line it with the binary -pixel- brush, so that's maybe why?

Your pixels are pretty good too especially for a second try!

Well thanks. But then again I've always managed to pick up a concept easily. But pixels are HARD x< and its driving me up the wall. Any tips?
