Description
I struggle and fight with mental illness everyday, and wanted to take this oppurtunity now to express it through art to show the reality of what it can end up being if left untreated or unnoticed. (Reasons it could be hidden is because fear of judgment, fear of being neglected/looked differently, or peoples oblivion and lack of empathy).. I wanted to depict the end of an life that was consumed by there internal never-ending depression which ends up engulfing its host..resulting in there own "checkmate". (I hope this makes sense, I have difficulty explaining my art and just allow people to instead feel the emotion and take there own idea of what it means to them.)
