I actually filmed the drawing process for this one using my roommate's selfie stick (attached to a big soda bottle) XDCheck out the timelapse video below:

It was an interesting experience but too much hassle (uploading it takes a long time lol). The whole drawing process took around 75 minutes.
I really like the combination of pencil and India Ink! I learned this method through Ayami Kojima's work

Pretty good piece you got here, i am not a fan o devil may cry and i don't know the character but looking a couple of image of him on google, i'd say you did well making a fan art of him. nice shading and lighting, good use of pencil and ink, love the highlight on his hair, also the faint yellow green on his eyes is a nice touch, i quite like it. now on to the stuff that you could have added and some pretty minor things, though keep in mind it's base on my opinion and preference, so you can ignore it if you wan't. now first off, the shoulder, i just wish that you could have continued doing his shoulder so it would look complete, cause as of right now it looks unfinished, my suggestion is either remove the shoulder line and crop the image or continue on with the shoulder to make it look complete. the cheekbone shading, from the image it seems that your light source are from the left, i think his left cheekbone shading are way too darker compare to the shading of his right, his left cheekbone shading should be lighter cause the light source is directly hitting it. anyway there's not really much to say or to critique about this piece, it's quite nice, good job!

Thanks for the critique! Maybe I’ll do something with the shoulder later XD The cheekbone color can’t be fixed though since it’s India ink. I think the light is coming from top right so it shouldn’t be too bad

Thank you! XD I think the India ink gives more value variation (it can make the drawing darker than pencils); it's also darker than watercolor black (in my experience) and doesn't get lifted easily.

oh my goodness, very nice shading! the face is wonderfully shaded and gives you a great shape, and I like how shiny the hair is. for certain getting a favorite from me. the eyes also look nice, I like the hint of green.

It is stunning how you do such perfect shading in traditional, using just one colour! It is a beautiful thing in digital, yet easy - traditional is a different story though. It is not all this easy to do with a pencil...So I'm very damn impressed you've done it with ink and you did it just so amazing!
