Many years ago there lived a giant, called Vitur, and icy blood of his ancestors flowed in his veins. He inherited from them the vast lands in the North and the pack of hounds. They were not usual animals. They were descended from wolves fell victim of a winter hunger, from fast furious winds coming down from the mountain tops, and as well as from frosty, glittering in moonlight nights. Their hide color of thin ice seemed almost transparent, and played cold gleams. Vitur has been raising the hounds in his castle, built on the top of a high mountain, since they were still helpless puppies. Instead of milk he gave them disquieting sea winds which rush about between steep banks of fjords, and when the dogs grew up, he began to feed them with fresh snow soaked in crimson blood. When Winter came, Vitur together with all the pack would go hunting in his dependent forests, and in Summer he released hungry dogs on the white slopes, watching as they race up the steep cliffs, chasing the herds of mountain goats. Indeed it was a wonderful sight! When the hounds were running in the footsteps of their prey, their hides covered with shining icicles, looked as drops of sweat, it were falling from their backs with diamond dust, quick feet barely touched the ground, and in sky-blue eyes never melted snow sparkled coldly. The dogs have grown fast, strong and fierce, and only Vitur could cope with them. Only one his word forced hounds dart off, viciously snarling and overtaking swift wind, and only after one his word they froze like ice sculptures. The pack obeyed his master as well as frost obeys blizzard.

This dols, which I made before last winter. They have already been sold, but I make jewelry with these characters.
