Lady Luck is a singer employed at the devil’s casino, with a hypnotizing magic voice.
I thought about doing it in color, though it had always been started in black and white, but the blend of her green skin with the midnight blue dress looked weirder when shaded than it does as flats, and I couldnt decide what to do for the curtains. Then I figured “eh, the entire world is like, 20′s based, so why not just keep it black and white!” and I’m so glad it does actually look good.
The lighting was extremely difficult, spotlights are usually pretty harsh, and the top-down lights and shadows can easily make a face look super wonky. But then, most lighting will look super wonky if you do it a little bit wrong, so oh well.

I’m still a bit worried about her dress possibly blending into the background.
