I agree that use of drugs and alcohol is a choice, but I don't think it's a choice one should necessarily be shamed for making. If someone you don't know has a glass of wine or smokes a joint, what does it matter to you? I understand if they are children, because for obvious reasons they shouldn't be drinking or doing drugs. Adults, however, shouldn't be treated like children by strangers and told what they can and can't do with their bodies.

I'm not talking about adults (well...for the most part) i'm talking about /teenagers/. And I don't mind if someone has a glass of wine, a bottle of Jack Daniels, or a cigarette every now and again. I'm talking about doing it constantly and not caring about the consequences.

I'm sure if someone's read the back of cigarette packets they know the consequences. If they don't care enough about themselves not to harm themselves, it's their business. If it's someone in my family, sure, I'll voice my concern, but I can't control their behavior and I shouldn't try to. Their body is theirs to ruin.

I'm not denying that. This isn't some scolding or disapproving people who /do/ choose to use it, this is giving props and congratulating people who choose /not/ to use it.

That's well and good for children and teens, but if they are adults, I don't understand why congratulations are needed.

I already told you, it's not aimed towards adults but towards children and teens!

The description says "Especially teens" but it doesn't say it's explicit to teens and children.

Dude, stop making assumptions and finding things that /aren't there/. I said especially teens because more and more teens are doing drugs and drinking alcohol than ever, but I didn't say it was for adults.

Well maybe the burden should be on the parents to know where their kids are and what they're doing and not the child. Maybe the parents should actually be talking to their kids about drugs.
You didn't say it was for adults, but you didn't say it wasn't either. Don't get angry just because I open up a dialogue about drug use and how it should be treated by society. Taking a position on these issues tends to open up a dialogue about the morality of the subject matter in general.

Okay, just because parents talk to their kids about drugs doesn't mean their kids won't do them. And just because parents /don't/ talk to their kids doesn't mean the kids will do them either! My parents never really talked to me about drugs and yet I never do them! And whatever, if you want to look into something that isn't even there go ahead.

I agree, it is a choice. And it's a choice I made as well, to steer clear of drugs, alcohol and sex. It just doesn't pay.
