Alright, im pretty over this page... it isn't quite what i wanted it to be, but time to move on.sorry it took so long, but its summer, and i had loud noises to be making in the mountains... also its like 5 billion (rough estimate) degrees in my studio... its extra hard to work.

Thank you for not giving Antoine the stereotypical French text structure like Archie painfully does. It's much much easier to read in a legitimate French accent simply by reading proper English.

Also, if I may let my inner critic out for a few moments.
The art style is great, it a perfect blend of of Archie style with a more realistic and grittier style. But goddamn man, erase the guide lines! All those extra lines really take away from the art and make it look messy and rushed and it really damages the experience.

so hopefully this doesnt sound asshole-ish, cause i dont mean it to sound that way. i had thought i'd explained this with the initial post, but it obviously wasn't said well enough. it looks rushed because it is, and thats the point ...no one seems to be on board with this, which i understand i suppose as you just want to see a final product... but this isn't that, and it never will be...
im not making a product here. im not selling it, im not really even interested in the art... this is a practice in story telling for me. if i were to have the time to polish something, i'd spend that time on other things.
you see, for me at least, polishing something is about 10% of the artistic skill, but takes about 90% of the time. i dont want to spend that time on something that is A) intentionally a learning experience, B) something thats not mine.
to be totally honest this project wasn't necessarily destined to be finished anyway. i think of this as an extended sketch book/script writing combo.
i figured i'd just see if any mutual fans were interested in the story, and continue it based on interest. based on that, well see. it sort of seems that people can't really get past the art being unfinished (that seems a little superficial to me, but apparently not), and if no one is enjoying it, i might as well practice on something else or spend that time working on other endeavors. i guess i can just chalk it up to a failed experiment.
i hope that makes sense and doesnt just sound like me telling you to stfu, cause its not that, i promise ;D

btw, i'd also like to distinguish that the feedback of 'the guidelines specifically interfering with the experience' is good useable feedback. my post is simply to explain to you why i will be ignoring your feedback, but please dont take that as it being unappreciated... it may not be applicable to my intentions for this comic, but it is still good data.

And I'm not going to not enjoy this because of the guidelines, for the most part they aren't too much of a problem, it just certain panels that have it bad enough to be distracting like the final panel Sonic-Comic Pg 4.

i just meant i thought he'd been around for a while. i havn't read the comics since i was a kid, so i dont know many of the new characters... but i remember him. im not super educated on all the penders stuff to be honest. why can't we all just get along
