WOW this took me forever! I've been working on the linework for this guy for days now, hence the large delay in my Sharian story sorry about that. I drew him during one of my final exams last year. I recently found hi in a large pile of paper and decided he needed to be finished now as with many of my pics there is a story behind it... haven't done this for a while! no need to read it tho, it's pretty long

The Vaulrin were a peaceful race, living together with nature in perfect harmony. War and battle was unknown to them as they had never found any reason to fight, even the animals they lived off willingly sacrificed themselves to the Vaulrin (the old and sick were willingly slaughtered in return for well kept and protected land to graze on) Peace had prevailed and live was pleasure until a new race of monsters arrived.

Many Millenia before the Vaulrin a natural disaster had struck the world, fire rained from the skies, the land burned and the seas boiled. Almost all life was wiped out. A small group of creatures was forced to retreat into the ground, deep into the ground. as the years floated by the creatures began to evolve and adapt to the underground world, certain that life on the upper land had been wiped out. While they grew and evolved life above began to regenerate itself giving birth to new and wondrous species, one being the Vaulrin.

One of the creatures had managed to find courage enugh to explore the upper land, expecting death and decay as far as the eye reached but instead it found lush plants and abundant wildlife. overcome with anger and jealousy it gathered the underearth clans, it was time that they returned t the upper lands to reclaim their world!

The land was unprepared for the underearths' malicious ways. They destroyed all that they came past, devouring every bit of life that they touched. None could oppose their wrath. Eventually the Vaulrin decided enough was enough! they were technologically advanced beyond anything we humans could imagine yet had never used it as weaponry before. Only the strongest, fastest and smartest were selected for the ultimate honor of defending the land.

Metal plating and unbreakable weaponry were welded and implanted into the Valurin Soldiers making them infinitely powerful. They were the world's last hope. The battles were long and harsh, leaving many Vaulrin and many more underearths dead. the Vaulrin seemed to be losing the battle until the land itself began to fight back. The placid land beasts and calm Fliers began to join in the fight. Even the underearths couldnt stand up to a force like that

soon the land had been cleansed of the vile filth of the underearths. The Vaulrin and other creatures could begin rebuilding their Utopia, hoping for an enduring sense of peace.

hyea, i know! ooh, soppy happyfulness This isn't the end of the Vaulrin! I promise you that things can never be THAT perfect! i wanted to write more but it'll be too long.
