RANDOM: what do you think they meant by "cold" in Cold war? What do you think that meant psychologically to the people?
Yeah.. i have my ideas... but i would like your opinion... *looks up to you in admiration ~~~~ * I have to make a speech for school, about the cold war but not talk about the other people's subjects... like i can't go into detail of the iron curtain or the other wars like the Korean war ect... it's more like the meaning of the word XD

Hm... Well, first of all, it was of course used to show that even though the tension and all other that's needed for a war was there, they didn't openly attack each other with missles (thank Heavens... they could've blown us all up several times...). For second, this mutual threatening while being full well aware what would happen if one of them were to push that button had them frozen to one spot, not allowing them to go any further or to back down, because of the balance. Psychologically... well, it might've been at the beginning, to show people this wasn't like WWII, they weren't going to have as much troubles and dead. (IDK how that worked, but I think they had more than enough trouble with the Cold War, too... and as for dead- the Korean War and the Vietnam War took a share of those.)

I'm jsut shy... if i was to meet a stranger individually i'm perfectly fine, a large group of people i don't know and i know they are judging me i can't speek clearly XD... but maybe after my braces my speech with get better XD
