She slid the scissors into your hair, the cold metal stinging the bottom of your chin. You hear the crunch as she closes them, sending a strand of beautiful blonde hair to the floor.

'We spent so long growing all that pretty hair to your waist and now look.' She gestured to the growing pile of hair on the floor. 'But long locks are a privilege and if you aren't going to respect the time that I've put in to making you look like this then you don't get to enjoy them.'

You had been mesmerised by your hair as it grew longer and longer. At first reluctant to be dressed as a girl, your long hair had given you a feeling of power and femininity that you couldn't describe. You loved brushing it, playing with it and could feel all the eyes on you as it swing while you walked down the street. But she was right, you hadn't appreciated it. You'd started tying it up and hiding it below a baseball cap, going out in guys clothes and no makeup. When she caught you, your friend looked so disappointed. That look quickly turned to anger as she marched you to the salon.

Another chunk of hair is sent to the floor.

'It's such a shame. But hopefully this punishment will help you appreciate what you had.'

'You'll wear your hair like this for at least two months. I want nails and makeup done every day. Dresses and heels, no trousers or flats. If you stick to those rules then we can start growing it back. If you want to break them again somebody is getting a pixie cut!
