I literally have a fanfic idea where Shen and Boss Wolf are still alive... I mean, it's possible! Boss Wolf's armour could have protected him from a fatal wound! (And Shen could have survived by the floor falling before the cannon smashed down on him.)

This is an excellent piece of work. love this character and Shen. Is he crying because he is in pain or is he hurt that Shen betrayed him? Always seen them as two people that were once close friends before the banishment.

He is crying because, yes, in pain, be betrayed, and lost to Po&Five so he worries about Shen.(even probably after be betrayed)
His heart is filled with those feelings mixed up so his eye is full of tearsΒ Β Β Β I think.
