Yes, we all can continue to learn more. Its good to be modest, but this is great. Keep up the good work and show other artist how you progress.

This is beautiful! Don't let your doubts talk you out of submitting. One of the advantages of the DA community is finding out what people like. I've had several pieces that I thought weren't good enough to submit and they turned out to be some of the most popular.

I can't really complain, Gitte. They type of dystrophy that I have has a slow onset. I suppose that I've had it all my life. As a kid, my muscles did fatigue rather quickly when I was out doing the normal kid things. I'm glad that it was such a slow acting type in that I was able to participate in a lot of things that kids do...canoeing, camping and hiking the hills and prairies. It really didn't start causing problems until my college years and I pretty much beat the wheelchair by a good 10 years from what they thought when the muscular dystrophy was confirmed back in 1976. So, I was able to work until about 1997 when I got too unsteady to be on my feet and falls began to take their toll. So, I really haven't been relegated to my 'chair fulltime since '99. And, so far I've beat the average age of death from it by a good 5-10 years, too. So, I'm doing a bit better than average... The nice thing about this slow acting form is that I've had a long time getting used to the fact that I'd eventually end up in the 'chair. The type that I have is related to the duschene type of muscular dystrophy and called the ''limb-girdle'' variety of the dystrophy. They're making progress in the treatment, but I fear it's a bit late for me, though. So, I just take it a day at a time and it just passes right along. My art and the internet keep me busy and I forget everything else...LOL

Yes you did have a long time to get used to your illness. And I think you are a brave man. And it would be so good if they could come up with some medicin, that really works. I hope you do know that you are writing in a public area ? But maybe you donΒ΄t mind ?
