Yeah I agree, he's definitely the scariest :I We've never done a lot of development for Lust, but it's my impression he doesn't take much direct action, he just tends to follow people. And stare at them. While breathing heavily. And then maybe he lets the parasitic plants in his area trap and/or kill people so they never ever leave. But yes, a rotten, skinless cow full of tentacles is unsettling in its own right.

since the plants in his area trap people it would seem to me that instead of being the sin of lust he would be the guardian of the suicide forest that was in dante inferno

Hmm, well you could definitely very easily get yourself killed by wandering into the woods in Lust's circle, if that was what you wanted.

Anyway, our idea with him trapping people was to make Lust cover more than just sexual desire. Lust is possessiveness as well, Lust is using people for your own satisfaction - but not necessarily in a sexual context.
Lust, the sin himself, just really wants people to come to his circle and then never, ever leave.

does that mean he truly isnt bad and would rather give them tea and crumpets instead (while they suffer for all eternity)? also how does a skinless tentacle cow represent lust its a grand design but i really don't see the symbolism in the other sins and i especially like greed

It means he generally appreciates people being dead, because you can't leave when you're dead.

There's a bunch of different symbols that've gone into his design. The tentacles? Clingy, ensnaring. Also I'm sure you've seen enough anime to know where that goes. Lust is mostly just a tentacle monster, the bull part is an empty, rotting shell, perhaps signifying the idea that lust will consume you and control your actions.
The bull itself is a fertility/virility symbol in many contexts, and has a place in a lot of religious practices and beliefs. But in this case the bull is sick and corrupted, and a false idol to be worshipped - playing into the idea that lust can also be about unhealthy obsession.

I'm surprised how happy I am with Envy's end result. She was the one I had the most trouble figuring out what to do with, because she doesn't have a very interesting shape, she's kinda just a fat lizard :I
Then for some reason I gave her that purple color that literally makes me nauseous; it's the only color in this world I can't stand (makes it a lot more bearable when combined with neon green, though). In the process I just ended up with this deliberate look of ugly trying to be elegant and pretty and I think it's very appropriate.

Something about this beautiful woman sticking out of Envy's head and then this big sluggish body with all the purple faces.  It's like a deep sea Angler Fish... I just am intrigued by it!

all of them are really good, but those two definitely drew my eye...

Greed I"ve seen before so that was fun to see how it evolved.
