Description Hey, how's everyone? Took a quick break these days but have a few art updates to show.
Also, I guess it's time again to rave about this musical (especially after recent events, with Frollo and his cute little panda friend on stage XD), with another favorite singer and character.

So here we have Richard Charest, who does a really amazing version of Pierre Gringoire in Notre Dame de Paris. Did a drawing of him once before but it has been quite some time so I felt it was a good chance to try again. ^^

A bit of a different angle to work on this one and the shading of the hair gave me some trouble to not lose the shape of those strands with the darker tones. XD But in the end I'm pretty happy with the result.

Have to say I really like his portrayal of Gringoire, the acting is so amusing to see how he interacts not only with the story but with all characters involved, it's like you always notice different details in his scenes. And of course, really amazing singing as well.
(just in case someone is curious about his singing and got a bit of time, here's a short but great song called Lune link  and this is the opening song of the musical which is also really good link    )

What a beautiful portrait! I love his gaze; you've drawn that so well! And wavy hair. Your attention to detail is amazing, as always!

I'm no good with comments, but I find myself drawn to the entirely visible eye, it's quite captivating.

He has that look of someone came knocking on his door and started telling him a tall tale, and while he's not buying it, he's still listening attentively nonetheless. The entire time they talk he's waiting for them to finish talking so he can claim some important nonexistent task he was in the middle of and really must get back to it so he can shut the door without seeming entirely rude.
