Now that does look like horror game, he'd be so much more weaker health-wise than Isaac is.

Ahem! Isaac Clarke: a civilian with no extraordinary PHYSICAL attributes.
Master Chief: A bionicly, biologically, physically enhanced soldier... Even WITHOUT shields, Chief wins hands down.

What I ment with that is... think if you don't have shields in Halo 3 heroic difficulty. And you get hit few times, you die. Pretty easily, more easily than the normal humans do. So I rather take Isaac Clarke, who isn't as fragile as he is.

And this isn't PVP question, just a question of gameplay mechanics. Without shields, Chief is toast when it comes to gameplay.

Hmm, super heated plasma vs, mildly sharp blades... You make Chief laugh.

Fist to the face kills him. Not just super heated plasma. He's not as durable as Clarke is, sadly so.

Why do you persist?! This is folly! Chief has ceramic armor grafted onto his skeleton! Clarke is just a regular human. Chief wins PERIOD! If you wish to continue to flaunt your idiocy do it elsewhere!

Come now... You are the idiot who hasn't played Halo games obviously. He dies pretty fast on heroic-difficulty without shields. Maybe this was not the case in Halo 1, but sure as hell is the case in the later Halo games. He's as squishy as the normal soldiers.

The "armor" he has sucks. Just weights 1000000kg or something and doesn't do anything except regen his health.

You're a dumb fuck fanboy who sucks at Halo. I don't give half a shit about game mechanics! With the Halo universe vs. the Dead Space universe Spartans put Clarke to shame every damn time. Thank you, now fuck off!

Me sucking or not sucking at Halo doesn't remove the fact that he indeed dies in few hits when his shields are down, my boy.

And I am not a fanboy at all. I am just making a statement that seems to be true. Maybe the guy in the Halo books can take tons of hits and all that, but it's not so in the games. This said, wish he wouldn't wear armor, so he would move faster than jogging speed.

Now, go being a good fanboy elsewhere.

You haven't won, and you never will. All you're doing is further proving the fact that you wish to remain blind to the facts! If the Halo games had used the actual Spartan stats, then the campaign would be no fun, no challenge! They purposely lowered Chief's ability for the sake of fun game play. If you had noticed, in cut scenes they had used Chief's full potential on multiple occasions; falling unaided from space (more than once), dragging a multi-ton bomb across a ship deck, and opening a pressurized door! Isaac Clarke Could have done none of those, period.

Things can be balanced around that. It's simple as that. And remember, before there was Halo books, there was games and the games are the original source.

Actually, the first Halo book (The Fall of Reach) was released 2 weeks BEFORE the first game

But did they start development of the game or book first? Where did they make the ideas for the world? I'd still say the the game is main source of things. Not the books.

Two humans, one is just your regular average Joe, the other has augmented body tissues and ceramic armor grafted to their skeleton. If they were to both be hit by a car, who is the most likely to survive?

Too bad it doesn't show in the game when it comes to Master Chief. Books can say what they want, if it doesn't reflect in the game experience, it does make MC's abilities rather... inconsistent.
