This piece means a lot to me. For most of my life I felt that there was something inherently wrong with me, and finding out I was autistic felt like a liberation. But then came the true struggle, accepting myself as I am, and learning how to drop the mask, and be my true self. Unmasking it's a very painfull process, but it's necessary for my healing process.
