Description
Almost all southern hemisphere of planet Artemis (Map of planet Artemis by GiuseppeZee on DeviantArt ) is covered by deserts and some of them are without any precipitation for long years, even decades.

Only exception in south part of country, which are not totally hostile for life are parts along river Erebus flowing in south and parts in high mountain range Tartaros (Map of Terra Aonia and Regnum Syriae by GiuseppeZee on DeviantArt , up to 9 km are the largest summits of mountain range in south of country), where some parts of higher mountains have higher annual rainfall.

Thanks that in this part of mountains are placed glaciers, whose melting water flows down the valley and in some parts of Tartaros are placed also smaller springs, where ground water is emerging and flowing in narrow smaller streams. In last mentioned habitats is living another endemic species for Tartaros mountains - Rufous Duck (Aixula sanguinea), which is only half of size of Mandarin Duck and which has size 17-25 cm. This species was only marginally target of research, therefore only few data about its behaviour and diet exist.
