I love this series - the way you link the story to the images, the allusion to fame and downfall - this is intelligent, beautiful art. Frames 14 and 15 are my favourites - am I right in thinking there's some earlier days Madonna influence in here? I don't know if that's just me over-interpreting the thing...anyway, it's wonderful, keep at it!

My style is always somewhat influenced by early Madonna but honestly, this series is far more a combination of Marylin Monroe, modern fashion, and an obsession with perfectionism, particularly aesthetic perfectionism, both personally and as a nation.

You're welcome - real art needs real attention! I suppose I should've got the Monroe connection - I was interpreting some Madonna influence in the later frames, with the rebellious leather jacket look and all that...it felt very 80s to me

do you know from where she got that dress?

I did all the styling for this series; it's actually not a dress. It's a white tank top of mine, and I bought 20 yards of white tulle and just wrapped it around her waist, then tied a thick white ribbon into a bow around her waist. I also put my short crinoline underneath all the tulle to add volume.
