What is perfection? Is it a construct? In a short answer, yes. Perfection isn’t real. It’s unachievable. Impossible. You will never be perfect. And that’s completely okay. We tear ourselves apart, bit by bit, to achieve this impossible standard. As women, this standard forces us to change our bodies permanently, to wear makeup to hide anything that isn’t ‘attractive’. As men, you are forced to seem big and strong. To be tall and muscular. But the thing is..women, you cannot be the picture perfect person that you see on TV. You cannot change your body and expect anything to change and be REAL. The attention you will get is fake and it will not be as genuine as it would with the beautiful person you are now. And men? You won’t be able to have the perfect body. Either you, another man, or a woman will find SOME kind of imperfection. And that’s okay too. Some men are not built to be extremely muscular. Some of you aren’t super tall. Some of you are super skinny. Never let anyone tell you that what you are isn’t enough. If they do? Well..guess that person doesn’t have a reason to remain in your life.
