They can be about 10 lbs (4.5 kg) but his is probably made of lighter materials, so maybe it's about 6 lbs (2.7 kg)? But what I'm most impressed with is the fact that he has it up in the air like this...it's such an incredibly awkward thing to pick up, hence why people usually (well always that I've seen) leave it on the stand and play it. I would think swinging it up in the air would break the neck or something XD Or at least that you'd hit yourself on the head bringing it down.

Oh. I always thought they'd weigh more like 10-15 kilos. But yes, I am also surprised every time that the neck doesn't break - especially since he's not just picking it up. One day he will clobber someone off the stage with it, I just know it.
