Thanks! Yes, it was same for me with Tarot vs Nightwish - I had been stressing for 2 years about consciously missing their gig at Tuska 2006 afterparty. Well Zac said they'd be doing some summer fests, so maybe then?

Well I saw them twice as well - Marco was late for the interview but the soundcheck was gooood.

Yeah, I won´t go to Tuska again... I mean, I like Helsinki, I liked the overall festival atmosphere, but I hated the crowded pit. Metaltown was so much more fun.
Ruisrock will probably not work with a photopass I guess, so I´d rather go to Ankkarock.
I´ll keep that in mind for sure. (if I don´t go to Hungary for Sziget in August)...I´ll decide when the line-ups are out, hehe.

Oi, Ruisrock and Ankka are pretty much crowded too. Sigh. Tarot was full and still there were enough people who were so nice and gave me place to shoot and even cut down on headbanging a bit... while most of the people in the pit should take a lesson in manners from them.
Mm, I have always loved Ankkarock so much that I just don't know who'd have to play anywhere else for me to miss it.

Yep, I had the same at the Tarot gig back then, people making space in the totally crowded Tavastia, it was great.
Some photographers are simply unbelievably rude. As much as everybody wants to get good shots...pushing and behaving like an asshole doesn´t really help anyone. But I gave up on complaining about that. During most gigs I luckiy can´t complain about crowded pits. It some kind of "shock" everytime the festival season starts.
Else I know, why I´m sticking to the smaller gigs with not so big bands.

Well Ankka and Ruis are organized by the same people and often the lineups are very similar, too
Yeah, I am not complaining much anymore either. But the next Tuska I will just start queuing 20 minutes in advance, strike a pose in the pit and not give a damn. I am tired of playing polite when other people behave as crap.

Well, since Ankka is in August, this surely fits better into my plannings...
June will have Hellfest in France, which means a 1000km trip by car, and Gothenburg with Metaltown the week after and then some smaller festival in July I guess - since I still have university then. August will have three or even 4 festivals then. Always a question of money, argh!
Nah, at Tuska you´re lost, when you´re too polite...as sad as it is. But that was one of the roughest pits I had so far I´d say. Pretty funny when thinking back that Tuska 06 was my first festival with photopit. Hard conditions right from the beginning, haha.
