Description "where am I? did I escape or is this just an illusion of my mind? where can I go, while I am missing something? this path is endless..."

Sometimes I feel like my technical skill gets in the way of the emotion and movement of my art. When I try to use hardness, it looks soft regardless...

indeed. they're... isolated and alone. It's not a happy backstory that I've made for them

Holy wow this is beautiful! The drawing is actually kinda hard-ish compared to my paints, but I like the soft look you've given it. It adds a bit to the atmosphere.

The whiskers seem to be missing though.

thank you very much! At first glance my work here still looks pretty soft though.

Indeed they are! thanks, but I don't think I'm actually bothered to add them in now, lol

I would describe it a second smooth more than soft, I guess.

The idea of a fake MS is really cool~

Perhaps... idek

Yeah, the idea was a bit of an indulgent "what if". And I was listening to creepy lab music at the time. That might have something to do with it... I don't know whether I'll ever incorporate the "future tech time" into the actual lore or not. I'd need to flesh out what was already there first. uggggh so not motivated to make all of these guides and things aha

Maybe just ask someone to sit and brainstorm with you? When I'm low on motivation I usually toss ideas back and forth with people so it might help?

It would make sense for Sprites to hide as technology and cities began to develop. And for the experiments you can have a bunch of reasons. Wanting to keep them in a zoo, trying to lure out other MS to capture, etc.

Maybe that's true, it looks soft, but that can be good, it makes the feeling more ethereal, mor subtle, and that can stroke deeply, at least I really love what I'm seeing, it's strong thanks to that softness

Yeah, softness has its place. But hardness does too. Not being able to capture it makes it difficult to draw certain things (like rocks). I always blend my shading a bit, so in this I was trying to blend less in certain parts.

...regardless of my rambling, you're right in this case. The softness does work here. I guess I vented a bit in the description. idk. and now I'm rambling again

but thank you for the comment!!

I understand your point, some things really need the bless os being hard to be more striking or to have the proper look, as you say, I need to see more of your work to notice how hard you made the effect!

And no, its fine, vent as much as you want xD Besides that helps us all to improve! I mean, others can see the good things in your stuff with a little change of perspective~

I'm actually so glad and happy that ypu answered me, I did not expect it QAQ So, more than that, thank you, for sharing your rambles and your art with us!
