Despite this, humans have built facilities to house its people during these harsh weather cycles.

Many humans and other species move to Ivis due to their intensive military training programming.

This program is known to teaching some of the toughest people however it's also known for its unethical practices that are often kept secret.

He is smart though; one of his good qualities is Gale is a fast learner and eases his way through situations.

Childhood: Gale was born and raised on the extreme military planet of Ivis. Both his fathers Laurent and Hubert worked for the main military base; Laurent in the medical department and Hubert in the IT department. Although the environment was quite unwelcoming and hostile, Gale's parents tried their best to raise him in a healthy and happy environment. Both parents spent time with Gale teaching them both their crafts, Gale gravitating more to the technology. Hubert began to spend more time with Gale, teaching him basic computer skills when Gale was just five and slowly advanced his teachings as the years passed by.

Early Teens: By the time Gale reached twelve he was able to do coding and programming, picking up on it quickly. All things seemed to be going quite well for the family despite their living situation.

However, it didn't take long before Ivis' unethical practices started to make its way to those living on the base. Hubert never showed up after work to Gale's thirteenth birthday. It was obviously very very strange that he wouldn't come home on time, especially on his son's birthday. Laurent immediately felt something was wrong, especially when Hubert never ended up coming home the entire day. The next day while at work, Laurent asked around with his coworkers and found out that various family members have been missing from their families too. It was all... strange and they knew answers weren't going to be given by the administrators considering how secretive they were.

Years pass and no one has heard anything.

Late Teens: Wanting to know where his father- as well as other random missing people were- Gale began to use his computer skills to use. First he tried hacking into very small databases, figuring out their security systems and trying not to leave any traceable activity. After a while of doing this, he decided to try and get more risky; obtaining personal documents of military applicants. Positive now that he wouldn't get caught, Gale eventually cracked the system into the training documentation. Most were standard write-ups but the further he dug, the more he uncovered. Before long, Gale discovered the military administration was snatching up 'random' people who worked in 'normal' jobs such as nurses, IT, janitorial, etc; and using them for military training- particularly target practice.

After finding everything out; Laurent spread the news to his coworkers who passed it on and on- eventually everyone started to randomly meet to figure out an escape route from the planet. With Gale's technology help- the innocent citizens of Ivis were able to override the base's administration escape pods and leave the planet before anyone was able to suspect anything.

Present: Laurent and Gale began to travel to planet to planet, trying to find another place to live but alas felt too scared to settle somewhere after pissing off such a violent planet. Upon hearing about the plans on the Penumbra ship, the two decide to join considering it would be easy for them to stay hidden and safe.
