Ooh, what an awesome rendering of dear old Johnny. This is definitely what he'd look like if he somehow leaped out of the pages of the comic book...and I gotta add that you managed to make him look genuinely scary.

No problem and you definitely succeeded in your goal. I reread a bit of the comic shortly after looking at your sculpture...normally, Johnny doesn't really scare me but with that image of your reindition in mine, he definitely took on a creepier edge for me.

That's JTHM! Johnny the Homisidal Maniac is one of the greatest characters in comic history. It's nice to see him in the 3rd demention, but where's all the blood? You need to post one with JCV's trademark blood!

hey, thanks heaps! yeah, the blood, um, i actually never got a decent pic of this doll. He has two swords which you can see at his feet. He holds them crossed over behind his back, the blades are fairly covered in blood. Black blood, of course, as it is in the black and white of the comic.

Yeah, it's not in grayscale shading. The comic has literally two colors: black and white. It really adds to the drama that he doesn't use any screen tone.

Yeah, I saw him pop up on my favourites' list a couple of times and suddenly I recognized him. I haven't read the comics, only seen a few panels here and there on the internet, so that's why I didn't recognize him right away. He's very well done!

Probobly the only reason I recognised him instantly was I was purposly searching JTHM deviations on DA. It's fun, I'm probobly getting the ENTIRE series in the late Fall.
