Normally I don't like the idea of "a little bit furry", but the pointy ears and wings are a great idea. I think this is because rather than creating horse/human hybrids, your turing the different types of ponies into similar humanoid races. Here's how i would do it...
Earth Ponies- Humans
Unicorns- Elves
Pegisi- Angels & Demons
Alicorns- Gods
Mabie i'll do a fanfic about it.
