2D with a perfume bottle. X) Looks like he agonisingly squeezed pupils out. XD Took about 17 minutes (according to iTunes XD).Sorry, XD the following is just me being upset about a few art things where people try and define art unfairly.
-Well firstly I don't really enjoy the art coarse I'm in this year, the projects and everything makes it sound like there's rules to art, like always following the elements and principles in your head when making an artwork. You don't have to! Make art however you want to if you want to! The teacher keeps contradicting herself and is rather opinionated- yes she's entitled to her own opinions but she shouldn't expect us to agree. Just been so many moments like this, like that time she said "an unfinished artwork may as well be burnt". AHH not in my opinion! IT'S STILL ART!! IT CAN BE AMAZING IN THE SENSE THAT IT'S NOT FINISHED!! Also when she said "DeviantART is for beginners". Has she even been around this website?! Don't get me wrong, she is a very lovely and kind person, I admire her wide knowledge and talent, I just haven't had a good year so far.
-On Tumblr there was a post about art examinations, and the message in it mentioned regretting telling the examiner that they are influenced by Jamie. It reminded me when my teacher said if we're gonna be influenced by someone it should be by someone really good. Me response: 1. We can be influenced by whoever we want and no art examiner can control our inspirations, for we have free will! 2. Since Jamie Hewlett IS really REALLY good I don't know why the person regretted saying it...?
-A Gorillaz confession I stumbled upon on Tumblr expressed how the confessor wasn't impressed by Jamie's artwork anymore because they thought it was easy to draw and just simple. Well she/he is entitled to her own opinions too
but dude, I... I don't even know where to begin! I... I... AHHHH JAMIE'S WORK IS AMAZING!! All of the projects he's done, all the effort and time and putting his hand into it, the ideas, concepts, stories, characters and imagery he's created, his very unique and quirky style! I don't know how to explain how I feel! It's like the confession is saying some art is "better" than the rest but in my opinion (my opinion ok) all art is evenly amazing in it's own way for what it individually is, and then we all just have our preferences! ^^-There was one or two times when someone told me that I don't know how to use water colour pencils (which is the equipment I've grown up using, the main colouring method I use in fact). I replied by saying I just use them in my own way. This is going back to the rules thing- same with art equipment, we can use it how we like in our own ways! *Starts crying* So sick of all these people putting me down then asking for more then contradicting then setting rules, when (I believe) art is whatever you want it to be and is different for each person (not "better" or "worse"). So I'm gonna ignore those people who say I don't know how to use watercolour pencil, or who say some people's artworks are rubbish (for they're not).

So yes, this is all through my beliefs of art (since art's different for everyone which is really cool!!), and I used the word "opinion" a lot because you who are reading have your own which may be different to mine and I don't want to change yours for that's up to you my friend. I'm just expressing my own and hoping you may respect it.

Art teachers can be really difficult. Last year, we had an art teacher like that to the extreme. She would actually change student's art right in front of their eyes. Like, they'd paint what they thought was a beautiful picture, and she'd draw in pen on it what she thought it was missing. I'm glad I never had her, but I can say that if I did, I would have literally slapped her on the spot, and gotten into a lot of trouble... And I'm not even a violent person. But altering someone else's work is one of the dirtiest, most disgusting things you can do to a person, and it's worse than just saying "I think you should add more color here" or something. It's like telling a person "Your SOUL is wrong, here let me correct it." It's just... GAH.
Also, this is exactly why I'm not going to a major university to study English. I love writing, because it's my main art form and I can express myself through it. But I fear that if I have to sit through lectures in which we study other works, and have to learn how to copy that format in a sense, then it'll take away the magic of free writing for me. I like doing what I do within the rules of grammar and sense, but nothing else. If it's good, if it feels right, I write it. I don't want to have to fight to squeeze in metaphors where I can't see them, and all this other nonsense. The words come to me when I feel like they should come, and changing that would be like taking the magic out of my art form.

Wow, I'm sorry to hear that! :0 I'd want to have slapped her too! You know those feelings where you imagine what you'd do when upset, then if someone's right before you while you're upset you just sorta bite your tongue? XD
And absolutely agreed!! :I Man I feel so sorry for the students who experienced that. Do you know what she was like with theory lessons?
Last year our teacher was talking about an art coarse she was doing (really busy lady) where her instructor had viewed her progress on a painting project, then casually smudged out the whole thing because he though she could do better (well she was thinking that too before he smudged it, but still it was very harsh). Then she said for all the times she had ever edited our work like that and hurt us that way (which she had done a few times- though not in pen thankfully 8I) she was very sorry. So that was nice, it reminds me that teachers make mistakes and learners like us too.
Though yeah, when people do that anyway, it is very unfair and cruel, absolutely!

Is your English class this year similar to how you said the major universities are like, or does it give you more freedom? I hope you have a well year!
My English teacher gives results partially based on wether she likes you, she swears and smokes too so I'm nervous about how the next 3 terms'll roll out. :S
Ah man... I hope one day we can look back and laugh at some of this... stuff... XD
